We are committed to building community through excellence in a cappella harmony, and we love to learn. We rehearse weekly to improve our vocal skills and build lasting friendships in the process. Although we have diverse backgrounds, our members thrive by working together to achieve shared goals. We sing a range of repertoire from jazz standards to 21st-century pop, barbershop to show tunes, but most importantly we sing a cappella. As well as entertaining audiences across the eastern suburbs of Melbourne we compete regularly in barbershop harmony competitions at a national level. Factum Arte choir was formed in 2009, mostly by students trained in the Kodaly method of Music instruction taught by her Musical director and professor Katalin Hajnoczy, degree in Music education, direction and piano by the Music Academy Ferenz Liszt (Hun...  moreFactum Arte choir was formed in 2009, mostly by students trained in the Kodaly method of Music instruction taught by her Musical director and professor Katalin Hajnoczy, degree in Music education, direction and piano by the Music Academy Ferenz Liszt (Hungary), and with a long career devoted to education in various places and educational institutions of Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa. Very high unpretentious Music, the choir was created to provide coverage to the need to sing and further training of a group of friends singing around the figure of his teacher. the time spent on the trials is very low in comparison to a standard chorus but over the years has drawn new members, has taken on challenges in terms of repertoire, has been federated, offers concerts by the municipalities of Biscay, and share their work in exchanges with other choirs in and out of Euskadi. Since the beginning of his career have enjoyed the cooperation of Garbiñe Abendaño as a teacher of vocal technique.  less
