Kokopelli has been a featured ensemble at many events, provincially, nationally, and internationally. These include the Rocky Mountain National Music Festival, Podium (the biannual conference of the Association of Canadian Choral Communities), the regional conference of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA), the International Society of Music Educators conference, and others. In addition to many North American cities, the choir has toured to Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Malaysia, Namibia, South Africa, Botswana, Swaziland and Zambia. Kokopelli is often the ambassador for the choir association and as such, has received several awards for their work with youth, music education, and the African Projects Fund. We were born on the 24th of july 2017. A new choir in our local area. Open to all singers who want to have a fun singing experience, performing songs from the charts, old and new.

The choir was first formed in 1962 as Aberystwyth Post Office Gleemen under the direction of James Morse. During the fifty plus years of its lifetime it has benefited from the leadership of five further conductors, David Griffiths, Margaret Maddock, Len Williams, Carol Davies and our present Director of Music, Alwyn Evans. The choir has travelled widely over the years with tours in Europe, United States and Canada besides engagements throughout Wales and England. Our concert venues have varied from village halls to national auditoria and great cathedrals. In the Eisteddfod field we have won two National first prizes plus several seconds and others. The ‘Boys from Bath’ are a 60 voice auditioned choir who have entertained audiences across the UK and toured Europe and the world performing in some of the most prestigious concert venues. In 2008 the choir achieved national acclaim when they reached the finals of a Saturday evening BBC television choir competition ‘Last choir Standing’. The choir sing a wide range of music from traditional, pop, gospel, musicals and secular music.
