the 1607 Ensemble is a cLosely-knit vocal quartet that was selected as young artists at the Brighton Early Music Festival in 2007, and has gone on to perform in festivals throughout the UK and internationally in Utrecht and Capri. they have been featured ...  morethe 1607 Ensemble is a cLosely-knit vocal quartet that was selected as young artists at the Brighton Early Music Festival in 2007, and has gone on to perform in festivals throughout the UK and internationally in Utrecht and Capri. they have been featured on BBC Radio 3’s ‘In Tune’ and ‘the Early Music Show.’ the members of the 1607 Ensemble hail from Britain, Canada, and the US, and their diverse musical backgrounds and affinity for a variety of musical styles are evident in their music. Equally at home singing Renaissance music and jazz, they also write their own compositions and arrangements, often combining old and new styles in music tailored to their unique vocal colours. Performance by the Mansfield University Concert Choir conducted by Peggy Dettwiler at the 2014 World Choir Games in Riga, Latvia. they won a gold medal and third place in the Mixed Youth Choir Category.

► Complete playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLKXwvyq1q-ehv4KOX9Mx56hG626lTGV2U During a Saturday night in June the first open-air concert took place on one of the most beautiful University campuses in Europe. the event had a picnic chara...  more► Complete playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLKXwvyq1q-ehv4KOX9Mx56hG626lTGV2U During a Saturday night in June the first open-air concert took place on one of the most beautiful University campuses in Europe. the event had a picnic character and took place on June 16 in the evening in the courtyard with fountains in front of the Main Building of the Gdańsk University of Technology. the program includes works by Georg Friedrich Handel performed by the Baroque orchestra and academic choirs from Gdańsk and Kraków, as well as a fireworks show. the concert repertoire includes pieces by George Frideric Handel, such as the coronation anthem "Zadok the Priest" and "My Heart is Inditing", "Water Music" and "Music for the Royal Fireworks" were performed. the music scene was set on the stairs in front of the Main Building. the musical side of the evening was made more attractive by the fireworks show, which accompanied the performance of the last part of "Music for the Royal Fireworks".  less
