In May, 2013, composer Ola Gjeilo spent 3 days on the Central Washington University Campus to join the choir in recording 4 of his pieces. The other three were "Sanctus", "Luminous Night of the Soul", and "Vast Eternal Skies" This performance of Gjeilo's "Ubi Caritas II" is from that session, which included a rendition on which the composer later joined the choir and improvised an accompaniment. In this video the choir sings the piece in its published (unaccompanied) version. This was Mr. Gjeilo's second time on our campus, the first was in the spring of 2011, which resulted in 5 videos and a DVD (http://goo.gl/Xld0o) As of 2013, the CWU Chamber Choir also has recorded videos of the music of Byrd, Monteverdi, Muehleisen, Singh, Victoria, and Rautavaara on YouTube. Since the beginning, Rev. Lee Chong Min – a reverend as well as a professor of the School of Church Music, Singapore Bible College – has been appointed to be the choir master of the Chamber Choir. In 1997, the choir name was changed to Jakarta Festival Chorus in order to reach out more participants from evangelical churches in Jakarta. Jakarta Festival Chorus is currently under the Music Department of the Communion of Chinese Churches in Indonesia (PGTI). The members now are choristers and sacred music lovers from different churches in Jakarta. Chantage performs a wide range of repertoire, programming works traditionally performed by English Chamber choirs alongside lesser known works sourced from foreign choral cultures.
