In this time the choir has participated in the Madrid Community choir contest, obtaining the first prize in 2009 and 2010, and the secón prize in 2007 and 2008 Within the choir activities, we could also mention their participation in theatre productions of the musicals Persephone and Midas by Steve Pogson, with which they obtained the first prize in the Vademorillo theatre contest. They were also awarded first prize in the Community of Madrid theatre contest, with the musical Super Jim, a play which was written specially for the choir by the British authors Steve Pogson and George Simmers. Our Holiday...  moreThe Connecticut Master Chorale, founded and directed by Tina Johns Heidrich in 1999, is a premier ensemble of 55 professional-caliber vocalists with a precise blend and balance. We present two performances per season in Western Connecticut. Our Holiday Prelude Concerts are accompanied by the Connecticut Master Chorale Holiday Brass, and our Spring Concerts are accompanied by the Connecticut Master Chorale Orchestra. In addition to the regularly scheduled performances, our accomplishments include a Christmas Concert at the White House, a U.S. premiere performance at Lincoln Center, three Carnegie Hall appearances, as well as concerts at West Point, Madison Square Garden, and with the Ridgefield Symphony - all by invitation. We won the annual McDonald’s Gospelfest Competition three years in a row and have appeared on ABC TV. Our recordings have been featured on WMNR Fine Arts Radio in Connecticut.  less

In 2017, TGS emerged champion for the chamber category in the 5th Vietnam International Choir Competition. Under the leadership of music director, Adyll Hardy, TGS has performed full-length concerts at the Esplanade Recital Studio, Victoria Concert Hall, SOTA Concert Hall and YST Conservatory Concert Hall. The words are my own and tell of children playing their games in the dusty streets (ie of Bethlehem) unaware that a miracle has happened and asking them to look up to the angels and join their singing.
