Celebrating world music and arts Promoting multi-cultural awareness Supporting Children's health and education projects in The Gambia, West Africa As well as hosting an annual World Musicand Arts Festival and the choir we also run a weekly West African Drumming workshop. Both groups enjoy performing at our own and other local community events and festivals.

Naturalmente a sua dinâmica foi assumindo outras performances. Atualmente é formado por 35 elementos, com idades compreendidas entre os 5 e os 18 anos. Privilegiamos a música cristã contemporânea e / ou gospel, bem como temas pop/rock que de alguma forma revelem e / ou transmitam valores humanos e sociais. We currently sing acapella, but will be having an accompanist shortly which will make a huge difference in our standard of singing. We welcome new members to join our ranks, and coach them continuously in for for them to love and enjoy music through singing in harmony.

Usually it is the church song which is incorporated into the folk culture. In the Sotho language: "I also like to see the angels on Mount Zion, with all the blessed people." This is from The OK Chorale's second public concert in March 2013 at St. Mary's Church, Woodbridge, Suffolk, UK.

In this time the choir has participated in the Madrid Community choir contest, obtaining the first prize in 2009 and 2010, and the secón prize in 2007 and 2008 Within the choir activities, we could also mention their participation in theatre productions of the musicals Persephone and Midas by Steve Pogson, with which they obtained the first prize in the Vademorillo theatre contest. They were also awarded first prize in the Community of Madrid theatre contest, with the musical Super Jim, a play which was written specially for the choir by the British authors Steve Pogson and George Simmers. The work of the choir is not solely centred on the training of new singers and preparing concerts, since its beginning we have firmly believed that a junior choir should be innovative, and, year after year the choir has sought after original works by Spanish auth...    less
