Written and composed in 1985 for the Shin-yu Kai Chorus, the song captures the Moment when One finds Oneself straddling both uncertainty and optimism while thinking about the future. Takemitsu’s signature sound, featuring rich harmonies colouring melodious refrains, shines through in this conversational and thoughtful piece.
