Formed in 2008, VoG is proud to be the Hell's Kitchen, New York Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS). voices of Gotham is open to all singers in the TTBB range interested in the barbershop style. Since the chorus' founding in 2008, VoG has rapidly distinguished itself as one of the country's leading incubators of both new barbershop music, and of young musical artists who will shape the CONtinuing evolution and excellence of the barbershop tradition. VoG is ranked by the BHS as one of the top ten barbershop choruses worldwide. With over 85 members and growing, VoG is a dues-paying organization that includes high school and college students, professional actors and musicians, and people of all walks of life who simply enjoy raising their voices in song.  less

It typically assembles a choir for a brief time before each performance, then disbands until just before the next CONcert when a new choir is formed. The singers may or may not be the same each time. CON los nervios a fl...  more"I dreamed a dream " tomó un significado especial, en el que fue nuestro primer CONcierto CON obras completamente nuevas para el coro. Nuestro sueño no hace falta soñarlo en pasado, lo soñamos cada vez que nos subimos a un escenario. CON los nervios a flor de piel, que se notaron, por los estrenos, desgranamos cada una de las obras, nuevas , frescas, como todo aquello que escribe , compone, o en donde "mete la mano" Sergio Rodríguez , nuestro director. Dejarse llevar por sus gestos, le da otro significado a la palabra "cantar". Muchas gracias al ISTIC ( Instituto Superior de Teología de las Islas Canarias )y a la Universidad de La Laguna por la invitación , a D. Juan Pedro Rivero que nos trató CON una amabilidad que no está de moda y por supuesto al público asistente. Cuando cantas y escuchas "bravo" varias veces, piensas que algo estás haciendo bien . A los polifonicxs, muchas gracias, por el esfuerzo, por las horas, por renovarse en cada ensayo y en cada CONcierto. El camino se empezó hace un año y seguimos....    less

Si compone di 40 elementi di età varia molti dei quali provenienti già da esperienze musicali di vario genere e di vario livello. Il suo repertorio spazia tra brani di musica sacra, profana, operistica e di tradizione popolare; Dall’agosto 2009 svolge CONcerti, anima messe e cerimonie; partecipa ad eventi di beneficenza, di promozione culturale e di gala privati e non; partecipa a rassegne e festival corali. Organizza ogni anno ad Arsoli la “Rassegna musicale in onore di N.S.di Guadalupe”, la cui prima edizione coincide CON il debutto della corale (Agosto 2009), sempre ad Arsoli, in occasione delle festività natalizie, organizza “A Christmas Carol, note di Natale” un CONcerto in collaborazione CON il coro giovanile “Allegre Note” di Arsoli.
