I am proud of my musical colleagues for putting these videos together. I thank them for their loyalty to our fans and their fellow Choir members, and for their diligence in preparing individual performances to such a demanding degree of musicianship.
We all share an understanding of how important it is right now to share the joy of song with the world.
Joined by my wife Holly and all the members of the Stairwell Carollers, we wish you peace and joy this Christmas season. We will perform live for you once again soon.

EFC is a Choir of around 75 singers, attracting people from all parts of the South West region. We perform with professional orchestras and soloists, and aim to bring choral music of the highest quality to our audiences. Under the inspired and dynamic musical direction of Nigel Perrin, EFC has become one of the region’s most versatile and highly acclaimed choral groups.
We provide a broad range of music for our audiences, covering a great variety of genres and periods; we revisit standard works within the choral repertoire and explore new challenges from the contemporary musical scene. We like to be stretched musically and technically and, above all, we strive to set ourselves high standards less

A message from the Director:
"Christmas 2020 is the first in our 43-year history where we haven’t been able to stage live concerts, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still sing. So, after planning, rehearsing and recording, we are proud to present Un flambeau, Jeanette Isabelle, one selection from our Virtual Christmas Concert of 6 carols. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nstkQZ9-5Gs
We hope you will enjoy our renditions of old favourites, some in new settings by our director, along with a few lesser known pieces from our carol archives.

Lyrics:
We stay apart and we don't know for how long we have to sing alone
But staying strong so more voices can join us in Chorus one day soon.
Though we're apart from everyone, we are a part of everything,
and every day everyone in different ways and places is facing this difficult phase.
So don't lose heart, let's make a start, let's make our art.
We're here to stay, we're here to say we'll play our part.
We stay afar and we can't see the ending; the future's still unknown.
We still stay strong separated in space; not in spirit, not in song.
Though we're apart from everyone, we are a part of everything,
and every day everyone in different ways and places is facing this difficult phase.
So don't lose hea... less
