The piece was written for the 50th anniversary of the Habaneras Contest in Torrevieja, Spain. The musical writing has nothing of a traditional habanera. The constant habanera rhythm is not present but must be felt as an internal rhythm. What I have included is the alternation of minor and major modes so typical of habaneras. We are a friendly, community choir who meet weekly to enjoy singing together. We are open to all singers and tackle a wide range of Songs.

We were born on the 24th of july 2017. A new choir in our local area. Open to all singers who want to have a fun singing experience, performing Songs from the charts, old and new.

London contemporary a cappella choir Kitsch in Sync turned 10 years old on 11th January 2011. In October 2011 we celebrated this with a special medley of Songs from the last decade. This was its first public performance.

Sponsored positions are available so don’t let money be a barrier. We meet every Wednesday evening from 7-9pm during school terms at the CWA Hall, 20 West Market St, Richmond, NSW. One of our members Pammy says: ‘It’s funny - most of us think we can’t sing but somehow together, we sound amazing!’ She’s right! So come along and join in the fun - it’s always a great time of singing our hearts out, laughing our socks off and meeting friends old and new.  less
