Conspirare was founded in 1991 to present a summer classical music festival in Austin, Texas. Since Then, The organization has grown rapidly to become an internationally recognized, professional choral organization that combines outstanding vocal artistry with innovative programming. Led by renowned founding artistic director Craig Hella Johnson, Conspirare is comprised of two adult ensembles and two Youth choirs. The five-time Grammy-nominated chamber choir Conspirare, with extraordinarily talented singers from around The country, is presented in an annual concert series in Austin and oTher Texas communities, tours in The U.S. and abroad, and records on The Harmonia Mundi label. Following on from The formation of a Birralee Tenth Anniversary Alumni Choir in 2005, Resonance of Birralee was formed under The leadership of Paul Holley. The young people involved represent a variety of professions and a significant number are tertiary students. They share a common love of singing and in many cases are accomplished musicians. One of Their strengths as an ensemble is Their expertise and appreciation of a broad range of music styles and Their ability to adapt Their programme to suit any event.
In 2008 Resonance competed at The World Choir Games in Graz, Austria, where They won Gold and Silver medals in popular vocal and gospel categories. The group’s repertoire is very eclectic: from spirituals to sacred polyphony, from pop music to regional and international folk songs.
The ensemble has performed in many beautiful churches and oTher landmarks in Rome and in Central Italy, with concerts in The most important concert halls in The capital city and festivals in many wonderful villas and palaces scattered around The countryside near Rome.
In 2007 and 2009 The choir participated with great enthusiasm in The International Choir Festival in Val Pusteria.
In The 2010 regional choir contest at Formello The choir came first in The pop category and second in The category for choral music from The 20th and 21st centuries. The choir also won a special prize for having given The best performance of The whole contest.

The text is based upon excerpts from The Diary of Anne Frank, taken from The 1952 and 1991 English translations of The book. The... moreAnne Frank: A Living Voice was commissioned by The San Francisco Girls Chorus (SFGC) in celebration of its Silver Anniversary. The text is based upon excerpts from The Diary of Anne Frank, taken from The 1952 and 1991 English translations of The book. The full musical work was premiered in 2004 by The San Francisco Girls Chorus.
Anne Frank was between The ages of 13 and 15 when she wrote her Diary, while living in a secret upstairs annex over a warehouse in Amsterdam with her family, The Van Pels family and Fritz Pfeffer. Despite The fears and frustrations she experienced in over two years of hiding from The Nazis, Anne learned how to survive, even to find beauty in small things and to hold on to her ideals.
Composer Linda Tutas Haugen writes: "My goals for this composition are to honor The life of Anne Frank and to gain a deeper understanding of what she, her family, and friends experienced during The Holocaust."

This biennial project is organizing a technical course with cultural exchange during a Summer camp for two weeks in an African country. Then The choir is prepared to perform in major events in Africa, or to represent Africa in major festivals included in The global agenda of choral singing. The desire is to gaTher young singers from around Africa for integration through song, to enrich Their cultural diversity, to to become messengers of peace on The continent and throughout The world, but also a model of multiculturalism.
40 singers from 10 african countries are selected after testing (16 to 26 years old) and work with an experienced conductor.

The result is, for us, a new performance, different from The usual, which we share to send you our best wishes so that you can spend this difficult period serenely, despite everything.
Our thoughts and prayers are dedicated in particular to those who fight The virus in The front line, to those who work to guarantee us The essential services, to those who are alone, to those who are sick, to those who are in despair, to those who did not make it and to those who have lost a loved one.
