At present it ranks among the best Choruses in Slovakia. During its 55-year existence, the aim of the Chorus has been development of artistic concert activities through the choral singing, interpretation of pieces of music of Slovak and foreign composers who write their pieces of music in the field of choral singing. The main credo is propagation of choral art and tradition and last but not least representation of city of Žilina and Slovakia all over the Europe and the world. Permanent and particularly important concert activity of the Chorus has been cooperation with professional Štátny komorný orchester Žilina (State Chamber Orchestra Žilina) since 1990. Since 2009 and thanks to his founder, Oscar Allen, the Choral Project has been working with young singers and developing young voices to excell in the interpretation and enjoyment of choral music and group singing. Due to an intensive and hard work, its members receive a full choral and scenic education, structured in the vocal individual technique and its different types of sound emission; on the development of corporal skills expression, and in the grupal practice of the choral exercise. This education is complemented by the permanent contact with other artistic disciplines as ballet and theatre are. In Abgrenzu...  moreJedweder Küchenchor – eine Art Lebenslauf Im Herbst 1987 fand eine Reihe von Leuten mit ausgeprägter Lust am Singen ihr Betätigungsfeld im soeben vom Chorleiter und Kontrabassisten Arnulf Lindner gegründeten “Chor der Stadtinitiative Wien”. In Abgrenzung von Kammer- und Kirchenchor stiftete der Name „Jedweder Küchenchor“ eine Identität, die es in der Folge erlaubte, sich quer durch das Repertoire der Musikliteratur zu singen. Nach den anfänglich ausschließlich musikalischen Chordarbietungen, entdeckte der Chor immer mehr die Lust zur kreativen Bühnengestaltung und begann dramaturgische Elemente in die musikalische Darbietung einzubauen. Für das Programm „Familie Grinzinger besteigt einen Berg“ 1997, engagierte er erstmals eine Regisseurin (Nika Sommeregger), die den Chor bei der Inszenierung unterstützte.
