The Virginia Wesleyan Singers are an open-enrollment ensemble of 30-50 singers from all majors at Virginia Wesleyan College. No audition is required, and singers perform a variety of Music in all styles while developing vocal technique and Musicianship skills.

Legendary film composer John Williams wrote the Music for each of the nine Star Wars saga films, spanning more than forty years from 1977 to 2019. For Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace (1999), Williams composed “Duel of the Fates” for orchestra and chorus, accompanying a climactic lightsaber duel. The words are a fragment of an ancient Welsh poem that Williams had translated into Sanskrit—he then rearranged the syllables himself to make the text essentially meaningless, while still retaining a forceful chant-like power. Its aim is to provide opportunities for young singers at the early stages of performing careers...  moreEstablished in July 2009 by Adrian Green and Alexander Norman, Convivium Singers is a group of Musicians who perform a wide variety of vocal and choral Music. Its aim is to provide opportunities for young singers at the early stages of performing careers, as well as for talented Musicians who have chosen not to pursue careers in the Music, but wish to continue singing to a high standard. They currently comprise singers from many established Choirs, including Birmingham Conservatoire Chamber Choir, Ex Cathedra, Armonico Consort, The Choir of Royal Holloway, Genesis Sixteen, Portsmouth Cathedral and York Minster. The group specialises in undiscovered or little-known British Music, and in the Music of the late sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries. Our subscription series offers innovative, collaborative concerts of classical masterworks, modern American repertoire and seasonal Music. Having made several successful concert tours to Europe and the U.K., in 2008 the ROS made award-winning appearances in the Olympic Cultural Festival with concerts in Beijing and Shanghai. Initially formed in 1987 simply as a means for those interested to gather together to sing...  moreThe Outer Banks Chorus is a group of 80+ singers dedicated to bringing excellent choral Music of all kinds to Dare County, North Carolina and the surrounding areas. Initially formed in 1987 simply as a means for those interested to gather together to sing, more formal concerts were later organized and presented. In addition to two planned concerts a year (a Christmas concert in the Fall and a Spring concert), there are frequently requests from local organizations for appearances. For example, in the spring of 2011, the group performed at the Wright Brothers Monument for the Centennial of the Wright Brothers Glider Flight. The repertoire of the Outer Banks Chorus ranges from the Classical to Broadway, and spirituals of all kinds and in different languages. Recently the chorus has sung a number of premiere performances of pieces by contemporary composers. All are invited to hear the chorus sing exceptionally lovely and wonderful choral Music.  less

In their sound they’re combining variety of styles with an emphasis on gospel and pop. They won the 2nd prize in international competition in Verona, Italy in 2008. In 2011. they won silver prize in Rimini, and also, the special prize for the best group up to 12 singers. During 2012. they performed in 3 contests, in Gorizia (ITA) - 1st prize in pop cathegory, Graz (AUT) - bronze in pop cathegory and Rijeka (CRO) - 1st prize in gospel and jazz.  less
