In a short time the Choir has achieved a valuable role in the Finnish community in The Netherlands. TAIKA practices in The Hague. The Choir has a wide repertoire, ranging from folk to pop, with an emphasis on Finnish female choral music. However, the Choir enthusiastically performs songs from all around the world. The Choir performs in a wide range of events hosted by businesses and organisations. In the spring of 2015 the Choir was performing for the first time abroad - in Finland. Summer 2017 Choir was in Verona, Italy, taking a part of an international Choir festival.  less

Each season we perform choral mast...  moreThe Nashoba Valley Chorale is a mixed-voice chorus with 90+ members based in Littleton, Massachusetts. Our singers come together from a wide range of towns in Eastern and Central Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire. Each season we perform choral masterworks with professional soloists and a professional orchestra. We have recently performed: the Mozart Requiem, the Mass in B Minor by J.S. Bach and Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle, Carmina Burana, Ola Gjeilo Dark Night of The Soul, and currently rehearsing the Verdi Messa Da Requiem under the artistic leadership of conductor Anne Watson Born. We love making great music together, and we work hard in rehearsals to bring an expressive and thrilling sound to our performances. We are a jovial and friendly group of people from all walks of life who enjoy singing together.  less

"Tonight, Tonight" is from West Side Story with lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and music by Leonard Bernstein. It was adapted for barbershop by Jay Giallombardo and made famous by the quartet "Acoustix". Danny and I transcribed it in the fall of 2008 and it has become one of our favourite songs to sing in the quartet. The Choir’s performance is sometimes a cappella, while at other times accompanied by a jazz trio or piano. Sectional rehearsals are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays (11 to 11:50AM).
