Greendale Chorale was formed in 2006 with The inception of The school. In These few years, The young all-girls choir has grown from strength to strength. Since June 2009, under The direction of Their conductor, Mr Darius Lim, The choir has garnered num...  more Greendale Chorale was formed in 2006 with The inception of The school. In These few years, The young all-girls choir has grown from strength to strength. Since June 2009, under The direction of Their conductor, Mr Darius Lim, The choir has garnered numerous accolades and awards to Their name. In 2010 The choir won The Gold Award at The 3rd Orientale Concentus International Choral Competition in Yilan, Taiwan. The choir was also Category Winner and was one of four choirs to be invited to compete in The grand finals. In 2011 The choir attained Their first Silver award at The Singapore Youth Festival Central Judging of Choirs. In The same year They came in 2nd at The National A Capella Championships. The choir has also collaborated with numerous national ensembles such as The Singapore Police Force Band and Choir and The Singapore Armed Forces Band. They have performed at major Concert venues including The Esplanade Concert Hall, School of The Arts Concert Hall and Victoria Concert Hall - both alone and also ...    less

The school's choir became very successful in The mid-1980s, winning many competitions including The Llangollen Eisteddfod. When school was over, it seemed natural to carry on singing togeTher as a choir, and The group's achievements included reaching The semi-finals of Sainsbury's Choir of The Year and appearing on Opportunity Knocks. In The 1990's, The choir moved to Harrow and officially became known as Jubilate. Sarah Stroh took over as Musical Director in 1999 and since Then The choir has grown significantly, doubling in size to its current membership of 43. There are still some original members of The choir, who have been singing togeTher for more than 25 years. Our recent competition successes include winning The Barnardo's National Choir competition in March 2013 and The ladies choir, folk and popular music classes and runner-up with distinction in The sacred music class in The 2012 Mid-Somerset Festival.
