It is well known as an iconic Music venue attracting major artists. It is also a centre for social justice and community activities. In recent years, the church has been developing Music in our Sunday services with a range of genres, classical, jazz, gospel, and world Music. The church has also created several unique events led by our Musicians. These have included our annual Christmas Candlelight service, Good Friday evening performances and smaller events to commemorate such occasions as Black History Month, a remembrance event in the Covid pandemic. Besides the usual church festivals, we also have special services for Refugee Week, Gay Pride, Holocaust Memorial, and other special commemorations. We are now embarking on a major project aimed at making Union Chapel a ce...    less

It is composed and directed by youths who though come from various sectors in society share the same passion….love for Music. They venture into old and contemporary Music, going through each piece in bits and pieces, in its history, in its interpretation, in its message! Their dedication and constant development, thanks to their Musical direct or Marouska Attard, has helped them establish as one of the most renowned choirs in Malta. The words are my own and tell of children playing their games in the dusty streets (ie of Bethlehem) unaware that a miracle has happened and asking them to look up to the angels and join their singing.
