We are passionate about performance, and love to sing contemporary a cappella music in four-part harmony. Our choir is committed to musical excellence, and we love to learn. Continuous education is one of the foundations of Blue Sky Harmony, and we utilise the skills and experience of each person in our ensemble. Although we have diverse backgrounds, our members thrive on working together to achieve shared goals. Blue Sky Harmony is available to sing at private and community events and we are always looking for new members to join our choir. Throughout its existence the chamber choir Schola Cantorum has had high ambitions. The choir has built an international reputation and has made it a trademark to include newly written music in its programmes. This is thanks to the work of Knut Nystedt (b....  moreThroughout its existence the chamber choir Schola Cantorum has had high ambitions. The choir has built an international reputation and has made it a trademark to include newly written music in its programmes. This is thanks to the work of Knut Nystedt (b. 1915), organist, composer and conductor, who returned to Norway in 1964 after studying in the USA and started a choir at the music department of the university of Oslo. The choir continues to recruit members from the department of music, as well as from the Norwegian Academy of Music in more recent years. The American choral tradition in which Nystedt was trained emphasises the importance of new music – a practice Nystedt brought back with him to Oslo. Knut Nystedt’s music became a vital element of Schola Cantorum’s repertoire. Tone Bianca Sparre Dahl became conductor in 2002, and has further established the choir’s firm position in Norway’s musical life. She has continued Nystedt’s tradition of performing modern music. Members of the Mundus Cantat choir are singers with experience in other choirs in the Tricity area as well as students of the Tricity schools and universities. The repertoire of Mundus Cantat, a mixed chamber choir, includes various kinds of music – old melodies, modern songs as well as sacral music and popular music. Its members have participated in many major music events, such as oratorio performances dedicated to Pope John Paul II or a concert directed by Enio Morricone during the Solidarity Festival.
