Yet our passion of singing joins us every week to rehears interesting and rarely performed music. With passion and great ambition, music and literature from all over The world comes sensually alive. The focus of our music is located in The Baltic region. of course! Our cherished and beloved conductor Arūnas Pečiulis is from Lithuania.
In 2016 we released our first own CD "Christmas in Orange" with traditional and extraordinary Christmas songs from all over The world. We are also represented with a total of three pieces on The CDs „Salzburg singt 2 - Advent" and „Salzburg singt 3 - Adventkalender" of The Salzburg Choir Association.
In 2017 we made our first big trip abroad to Lithuania and Latvia, in 2018 we were one of only two „non-Lithuanian“ choirs to take part in The Lithuanian song festival „Dainų šventė“ in Vilnius.

At present we have nineteen members, including our musical director and accompanist, both talented pianists who sometimes provide a contrast to The choir’s singing with Their piano duets.
Reflections have given Concerts in support of local charities, sometimes sharing The privilege with oTher choirs and soloists. Many of our venues have been for religious organisations, eiTher within Their services and celebrations, or for Their related charities.
Our repertoire is very varied and includes sacred music and songs from shows and films, with composers from Bach to Goodall, Cole Porter to Elton John. We have had a busy Christmas period with performances at Ridgeway Methodist Church, Plympton, Lanhydrock church and at The Mount Edgcumbe Christmas fair. It was founded in 1998 in response to The success of The Choral Meeting of Alexandria Municipality and mainly because of The Alexandrians who love The choral music and The encouragement of The Board Members of The Choir at The time.
Like Melissanthi, Alexandrian Voices is, in The wider area of Alexandria, The music institution that target to The development of choral music, of course through The good company and The love for music itself. From The beginning it counts approximately 50 choristers, all amateurs (meaning that none has studied music) who love and sing almost all kinds of music.
Since Their beginning, Alexandrian Voices had The opportunity to participate and be distinguished in numerous events, competitions or not, musical or of special interest.
Based on The International Choir Classification, Alexandrian Voices are ranked into The 1000 best choirs in The world for both 2011 and 2012.
