This particular setting was composed with a small mixed-ability choir in mind, so the voices are mainly in two parts (men's and women's voices), splitting to four parts (SATB) occasionally, where the words suggest it. The musical style is reminiscent of the 19th century although the piano part does go into 20th century style syncopation at times.

ABOUT THE choir: Since 2009, the CWU Chamber choir has held annual recording sessions to create videos specifically designed for YouTube. All are under the baton of Dr. Gary A. Weidenaar, who has been the director of the choir since 2006. As of Fall, 2016; there are 26 videos. In 2010 it won the ATKV Animato Children's choir Finals and the KKNK "Kanna" prize for best musical production (2013.) During 2014 the SCCC won the "Musica Sacra" Open category of the World Choral Games, in Riga (2014) and all categories of the ATKV Animato Finals (2014), being awarded the prize of "choir of the Competition." It has recorded eight cd's, one dvd; has toured Europe seven times and Talented choristers from several schools in the Garden Route region of South Africa's Western Cape Province are auditioned and rehearse every Friday in the city of George, under the direction of conductor Jan-Erik Swart.
