We perform for many organizations in and around the Western Pennsylvania area. Anyone wishing to sing is welcome and invited to come to a rehearsal prior to committing to the group. No auditions are necessary. We also sing in a yearly competition called Saengerfest held in June each year. Members chorus' are: Altoona, Williamsport, Reading, Lebanon and Mon Yough. Each chorus hosts the competition on a rotating basis. Rehearsals are held each Sunday at Sampsons MIlls Presbyterian Church at 1665 Lincoln Way in White Oak, PA 15131 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The Mon Yough Chorale was formerly known as the Mon Yough Community Singers. The Mon Yough Chorale has a long history in the Mon Valley. The organization started as The McKeesport Choraliers in 1962 merging with the White Oak Community Singers in 2001 becoming the Mon Yough Community Singers. Since its formation it has presented well over 100 perfor...  moreThe Elgar Chorale is a Worcester-based group of up to 40 Singers, founded by Dr Donald Hunt which has always specialised in English music, with a particular emphasis on the works of Edward Elgar. Since its formation it has presented well over 100 performances and ppeared at each of the Worcester Three Choirs Festivals from 1981 to 1996. Performances have included world premières of works by Sir Richard Rodney Bennett, Herbert Sumsion and Howard Blake, and a British première of Leonard Bernstein’s Missa Brevis. The Chorale was also the principal choral group at the highly successful Elgar Festivals at Worcester in 2007 and 2009, and last year enjoyed a concert tour in Devon, singing at Colyton, Dartmouth, Exeter and Torquay. It is proud to have Dame Janet Baker, C.H as its Patron.  less

They act as ambassadors for the Community School of Music and Arts to reach the broader community through performance and share their love of music.

Made of young Singers between the ages of 17 and 26 from different nationalities, the World Youth Choir is a remarkable educational and social experience through different vocal traditions at the highest artistic level. The World Youth Choir is a really original social and artistic project. Artistically speaking, it is a unique experience for young Singers to develop their musical and vocal talents by interacting with internationally recognized conductors and challenging repertoires in a professional level. Socially speaking, the World Youth Choir contributes to the raising of New generations of “Citizens of the World”. We perform at least three concerts per year with professional orchestras or accompaniment in the major Dublin venues and over the years have undertaken trips to choral festivals abroad. Two regular events are the ever-popular Christmas Concert in the NCH and the Carmichael Centre’s annual fund-raising concert in St, Patrick’s Cathedral, formerly on Good Friday but latterly in May.
