T...  moreMack Wilberg's arrangement of the American folk hymn "My Shepherd Will Supply My Need" is conducted by Chicago Master Singers Music Director John C. Hughes with accompaniment by pianist Lyudmila Lakisova, flautist Leslie Short, and oboist Deb Stevenson. The text comes from Isaac Watt's paraphrase of Psalm 23. We hope our performance demonstrates our love of singing together and our passion for sharing music with audiences.

A fountain wher in this case the musical joy starts to spray it's joyful notes. The love for music and the willingness to reach a good choir sound is the starting point of this ambitious group of amateur Singers. The choir members originate from different kind of choral background (close harmony, church choir and oratorium choir). Endora consists of 8 sopranos, 8 altos, 5 tenors and 5 basses.

Through his diligent guidance, the group has impressed its audiences with the depth and range of its interpretive skills in performances of a capella early music repertoire. ESPRIT was awarded a first prize at the Peel Music Festival in April 2012, and is the proud recipient of the Hon. Barbara A. Hagerman Award for first place at the 2012 Ontario Provincial Music Festival. In August 2012, ESPRIT was awarded second place in the Canadian Nationals of the Federation of Canadian Music Festivals (Class 100 - Honourable Barbara A. Hagerman – Best performance by a community choral group 19 and up). As part of its mission the chorus seeks out performances in historical venues; in the summer of 2011, ESPRIT toured Montreal, Québec, performing at St-Joseph Oratory, Notre-Dame Basilica, Christ Church Cathedral and Marie-Reine-du-Monde Cathedral. Our purpose is “to sing, in harmony, a variety of music for the enjoyment of the members as well as to give public and private performances for the listening pleasure of othe...  moreThe Richmond Singers is a 55 voice women’s choir which began performing in 1971. Our purpose is “to sing, in harmony, a variety of music for the enjoyment of the members as well as to give public and private performances for the listening pleasure of others”. During our musical season (September – June), the choir practices on Monday evenings from 7 – 9:30 PM at Broadmoor Baptist Church in Richmond. In addition to our weekly practices we usually plan one or two workshops with a choral clinician, as well as evenings with guest directors. We have two major performances per year, a Family Christmas Concert in December and a Spring Concert in May. We are very involved with our community and, by giving benefit concerts, help to raise funds for other organizations such as the Richmond Hospice Society, Canadian Cancer Foundation and Tim Horton’s Kids Camps.
