Born in September of 2012, The New Hope – Solebury & Lambertville Community Choir is a true community-based and community-oriented chorus, made up of members from The New Hope, Solebury, Lambertville, and immediate surrounding areas. The Choir is non-audition, and is open to all singers and would-be singers, ages 14 to 84 (and beyond). NHS&LCC is The New Hope area’s musical voice. We’ll be There a few times a year with concerts, we’ll be singing at community events, for Christmas caroling, at nursing homes & rehab centers, and more.  less

The first concert was December 1964 at The National Gallery. After one season, Gerald moved to Montreal and Brian Law took over as director of St MatThew's church and took over directing The Cantata Singers as well. In 1969, The Choir was invited to sing Purcell's Dido and Aneas at The new National Arts Centre in November. To balance The NAC Orchestra, The Choir increased in size to 44 members.
