En 2011 reanuda su actividad presentándose en el “I Encuentro de Música Sacra”, organizado por el Coro de ex alumnos de la UC. Además participa en la “V Temporada Oficial Coral del Centre Catalá”, en el lanzamiento de la fundación coral “Alejandro Pino”, en la “VII temporada Coral de Codelco” y en la “V Temporada Coral de la Universidad Santo Tomás.” En 2012, junto al Coro de Estudiantes, Fact. Ingeniería y Orquesta UC, interpretan el Oratorio “Cristo en el Monte de los Olivos” de Ludwig van Beethoven, bajo la dirección general del maestro Víctor Alarcón., se presentan en la VI Temporada Oficial Coral del Centre Catalá”. Concerts by the group feature a cappella music of Scandinavia and the Baltics, as well as North-American composers. Music by composers such as Mäntyjärvi, Daniel-Lesur, Rautavaara, Martin and Pärt are ideal showcases for the choir’s lush and full sound. Members of the group are dedicated to excellence in rehearsing and performing. With a repertoire consisting of 8 to 16-part music, the twenty singers are mostly performing as soloists. Now in its fifth season, voces boreales has already performed in a number of prestigious concert series, such as the National Arts Centre eXpres- sion series, Musique Chez Nous at Bishop's University, Mondial Choral Laval and the Montreal International Bach-Academy. It is formed by children and young people from 6 to 25 years old, who are distributed in three groups. Their activities are set out for the development of sensibility, intelligence, memory, attention, and, at the same time, contribute to achieve the feeling of working together and mutual help and the sincerity of companionship. Likewise, they begin to know the art and culture world by the music, not only polyphonie music, but also popular and modern music. During their trajectory, the choir has offered several concerts, has participated in competitions and festivals and has done tours abroad: France, Italy, Luxemburg, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Russia, Slovakia, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Slovenia...
