Striving to achieve artistic, vocal and musical excellence the choir Singers are graduates of the Rubin Academy of Music Tel Aviv, the School of Choir Singing, music students and graduates of selected youth choirs, performing a varied repertoire including both Classical and contemporary music. Ma'ayan has performed in official ceremonies held by the municipality; in various festivals such as Tel Aviv –Yafo Festival, Abu Gosh Vocal Music Festival, The Renaissance Festival, "Tones in the Desert" festival, the Jerusalem Arts Festival; in concerts with the Symphonic Orchestras of Jerusalem, Haifa and Rishon Letzion, the Kibbutz Chamber Orchestra, the Israeli Chamber Orchestra, Raanana Symphonette, Baroquada, Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra and the Israeli Opera. We're a group of young professionals who specialise in early music, but Polyphony especially. The Singers are made up of Cathedral choral scholars and Oxbridge choral scholars. They're directed by Matthew Collins.

The group's first piece—William Byrd’s “This sweet and merry month of May”, whose ending celebrated Queen Elizabeth I with the words And greet Eliza with a rhyme: O beauteous Queen of Second Troy, Take well in worth a simple toy. provided a great name for the group. Eliza’s Toyes was born, and existed every summer in Madison, Wisconsin. In 2008, a fair number of Singers who were in Eliza's Toyes are living in Madison once again. Thus we gather, outside of the Festival, for the joy of music making. It is our pleasure to continue sharing this wonderful body of music with you for the second year!  less

All of our Singers have been hand-picked and sing with some of the top amateur and professional choirs in the country, including: I Fagiolini, Genesis Sixteen, The Carice Singers, Renaissance, The National Youth Choir of Great Britain and many more.
