From the beginning our intention was to establish a dialog between ancient vocal music from the Renaissance and Baroque periods and contemporary music from the 20th and 21st centuries. As the vocal requirements of this aim are very important, we pay special attention to the musical and technical preparation of our programmes, in order to provide high quality performances. Our repertory includes ancient and contemporary music and works from composers such as Claudio Monteverdi, William Byrd, Heinrich Schütz, Tomás Luis de Victoria, Thomas Tallis, Vicente Goicoechea, Darius Milhaud, Francis Poulenc, Vytautas Miskinis, Zoltán Kodaly, Samuel Barber, Benjamin Britten, Astor Piazzolla and Marcos Leite. At the beginning, PSM-ITB sang only in campus society and subs...  moreOn February 11th 1962, few ITB students established Paduan Suara Mahasiswa Institut Teknologi Bandung (PSM-ITB or ITB Student Choir) which was the first university-based choir in Indonesia. At the beginning, PSM-ITB sang only in campus society and subsequently performed in public. However since 1973, it participated in various national choir competitions and repeatedly won the first prizes. This led PSM-ITB to become one of the most established choirs in Indonesia. In several occasions, the choir has been given the chance to perform in events attended by the President of Indonesia. It regularly performs in concerts, occasionally collaborated with other choirs and orchestras. In 1968 PSM-ITB organized the 1st ITB Choir Festival (FPS-ITB). Since then the festival is held biannually and becomes the largest national choir event in term of categories (from children to adult and folklore caTagories) and participants. This work reflects some of the history of Manchester as seen through the eyes of local poet Audrey Vaughan, including its origins around the river Irwell, the original monastery which became Manchester Cathedral, the industrial revolution, the Peterloo Massacre, and the singing of church and cathedral choirs up to the present day. Herter, with assistance from Ryszard Gieros and Alfred Stefankiewicz. Almost from the very beginning, it has been afliated with St. John’s Archcathedral in Warsaw, initially as a boys’ choir. It has performed with many Polish and foreign symphony orchestras. Foreign tours have taken the choir to over twenty countries. It has won numerous awards at international choral competitions, including those in Lecco, Italy (1997), Moscow (2000), Prague (2002, 2003, 2004, 2017), Międzyzdroje, Poland (2004), Warsaw (2013, 2015, 2016), Grójec, Kraków and Łomża (2017). It has also taken part in several television and theatre productions. Cantores Minores is a co-founder of the Polish Section of the International Federation of Pueri Cantores.
