Our program has grown to 3 Vocal jazz Ensembles. The music we perform represents a crossover of the jazz and popular music idioms. The students in the KCKCC VJ program learn Jazz Education through a variety of methods. First of all, each of these students take private Vocal jazz coachings weekly. They also perform music by professional Vocal Ensembles, arrangements by well-known Vocal jazz educators, and learn jazz and popular music standards (both through the Ensemble and in private coachings).  less

The Girl Choir’s repertoire is broad, from ancient to modern, classical to popular, sacred to secular, and folk to Broadway, encompassing many cultures, faiths, and traditions. Las Amarillas (The Yellow Birds) represented an unpredictable and ever-changing aspect of the 'wind' section for The Vocal Art Ensemble's fifth anniversary GODAI - Choral Music Summoning the Five Ancient Elements concerts in May 2013.
