Singing mostly Israeli songs, Members of the choir are from various professions: Doctors, Lawyers, Engeeners, Social workers, Scientists, teachers.artists,...  moreWe are a mixed Choir of 30 members.Divided to 5 voices: soprano 'Mezzo Soprano,Alto,tenor,Bass . Singing mostly Israeli songs, Members of the choir are from various professions: Doctors, Lawyers, Engeeners, Social workers, Scientists, teachers.artists, The thing we have in common is our love of singing together , the challenge of improving our skills by studying and practicing in order to get an impressive final result. Our musical director and conductor is one of the best most appreciated musicians in Israel ,he has a lot of experience and all our repertoire consists of his very special arrangements. Our repertoire consists of various musical styles : Israeli folk classics, Translated international songs by the Beatles and others, Gospels, A Cappella pieces. The choir participated in Radio and T.V shows , and in choir competitions, and is highly regarded as one of the best amateur choirs in Israel.  less

These dynamic and talented singer...  moreThe SYC was formed in 1998, as children's choir singers grew and voices changed! This four part chorus (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass) is devoted to music of all styles, including Classical, Broadway and Contemporary tunes. These dynamic and talented singers range in age from 14-25, and include young women in gr.11 and higher, and young men with changed voices. The SYC annually participates in the Family Christmas Concert, and choreographed year end show. They also stage an Orchestra concert each spring, which has presented pieces such as Haydn's Lord Nelson Mass, Vivaldi's Gloria, and Requiems by Mozart, Faure, Rutter, and Daley, to name a few. This year, the SYC looks forward to singing Carl Orff's Carmina Burana. The Youth Chorus joined the senior and chamber choirs in their 2009 tour to the UK. They were ecstatic to receive 8th place standing in the Mixed Voices category at a festival That boasts participants from over 50 different countries.
