During The choir’s existence, it has taken part in many musical festivals, and proven its quality by winning many first prizes, and has been joined in concert by world renowned soloists and choirs from Britain and America. Every year, The choir perform around twenty concerts throughout Cumbria, raising thousands of pounds for charitable organisations and oTher worthy causes. The services of The choir are provided entirely free of charge to The organisations They perform for. Outside The county They have performed in such notable venues as The Royal Albert Hall, London; on three occasions, Cardiff Arms Park; twice, Sheffield Arena and in Edinburgh. We are a ladies' a cappella Chorus who sing in barbershop style. We are based in Aberdeenshire, in north-east Scotland. As well as Scottish favourites, our repertoire includes traditional barbershop as well as recent pop and rock tunes.

However, The existence of a primary form of The Choir conducted by Agesilaos Papantoniou and Then Ioannis Kottoros in succession is traced in 1930s. Since its foundation The Choir has had an exclusive and leading position in The parish ecclesiastical music, and, like Saint Alexander’s Church, follows The eastern orthodox doctrine and comes under The Holy Metropolis of Nea Smyrni. Both The Choir and The former conductor Ioannis Kottoros have been awarded several times; recently, in 2005, They were honoured with The Golden Cross of Apostle Paul by His Beatitude The late Archbishop of AThens and all Greece, Christodoulos. It commits to significantly contribute to The nurturance of The country’s choral tradition. Its vision is to become The country's premiere all-male chorale, exemplifying The best of The Filipino: excellence, discipline and a flair for entertainment. Inspired by The global spirit and nationalistic dedication of The great ilustrado men during Spanish colonial times, The choir is slowly building a repertoire that includes The best of local and global all-male choral music. A member of The Madz et al network of choirs, it is composed of men who had extensive choral singing backgrounds through Their college, church and community/parish choir experiences. They were under The tu...  moreEast Rand Male Symphony was established in August 1990 by The members of The Then Kenneth Masekela SSS Boys Choir after winning The TUATA National School Choir Competition in The category of Boys Choirs for The 4th successive year. They were under The tutelage of Mojalefa Motloung. The choir is made up of members from The East Rand which is now affectionately known as Ekurhuleni. The young men who established The choir in 1990 are now responsible men taking Their place in Their communities. We currently have over 35 members of which ages range from 20 to 50. We are still under The baton of Mojalefa Motloung who also forms part of our Conductors Forum.  less
