The Choir is the oldest College Choir in Ghana and arguably in West Africa; established in 1964. The Choir is inspired by the mission of singing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs as an act of worship to the glory of God and to minister to the souls of men. Over the years, the Choir is been noted for very inspiring and sensational concerts and oratorios that seek to fulfill the mission above. Very recent of such ministrations include; Israel in Egypt (2008 and 2010), Indulci Jubilo(2015), Handel's Chandos Anthems (2016), Singspiration (2017),and Laudate Deo (2018). The Choir has through these platforms touched the lives of many deprived entities through her social welfare responsibilities. We can't say it all and ignore the wonderful personalities the Choir has nurtured over the years. We do provide music for those who want it, but you are not required to audition or read music. All are welcome. We do a fun variety of world music, pop classics, and whatever else we feel like. We do one performance per session, and ask our audience to sing along too. We are a welcoming and warm and eclectic group.

They soon found a Community of singers who are equally passionate about the energy and intimacy of Chamber choral music performed at a high caliber. Although we perform throughout Rhode Island and beyond, we are delighted to be ensemble-in-residence at Grace Church Providence, which generously provides rehearsal and performance space, and serves as our fiscal sponsor.  less

The MVHS Chamber Singers were invited to perform at the Western Division American Choral Directors Association in Tucson, Arizona. Then in March 2011, Chamber Singers performed at the ACDA national conference in Chicago, Illinois.

We have regular concert and performed at Windsor Castle, Windsor Theatre and Cliveden House. Our social life is very active and we have even gone to Turkey and Spain for singing holidays. All Choir sessions aim to be uplifting and fun so everybody leaves with a smile on their face:)
