The familiar African American song, “Angels watching over me” is given cantus firmus treatment while a lilting African lullaby, "Abiyoyo" gently sways around it. The Bantu song, "Abiyoyo" is traditionally sung at bedtime as a song to entrance night time monsters into a dancing state; mother and father can then chase the monsters away so baby can safely sleep. These young people toget...  moreThe "Santa Maria" Choir is founded on November 21st, 1993, and arises from a group of singers linked with the Parish of Santa Maria de la Estrella (Coria del Río) who decide to set up a Polyphonic Choir. These young people together with some pupils of the newly created Conservatory of Coria (1991), begin to take part in numerous religious acts where they interpret authors' plays like To. Lotti, W.A. Mozart, J.A. García, J.S. Bach, G.F. Haendel, and so on. In 1995 the young Sergio Asián takes charge of the Choir direction leading it to offering its first concert in June 1996. Duel of the Fates is my favorite song from the Star Wars saga. Watching and hearing the music performed by Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra and Coro Sinfónico Lisboa Cantat was amazing. If I wasn't holding the camera, I would have been waving my lightsaber around. I get so hyped up hearing this.
