Under the direction of its founder, artistic director and conductor Silvester Hajnal, the Choir managed to attain great reputation in the country and abroad in a short period of time. The Choir’s repertoire includes the works of both Yugoslav and foreign composers, from early renaissance to contemporary authors. Although their trajectory is short they...  moreTantak Korala is a child-youth group from Mungia, which performs choral activities in addition to his musical training. The choir is composed by children between 7 to 18, all directed by their conductor, Asun Lopez. Although their trajectory is short they have much encouragement to learn and improve. In 2009, they federated in the Bizkaia´s Choir Federation (BAE) and so they did their first performance in public. Since then, they have decided to continue participing everywhere they can, because it enriches them in their musical konwledge. In 2010 they won the second prize in the National Contest of Carols of Santo Domingo de la Calzada. In 2012 they took part in Europa Cantat Festival, celebrated in Torino (Italy).  less

How I wrote the composition Hope to process a miscarriage, or how I wrote I Will Lift My Eyes at a time when multiple family members, both young and old, were being diagnosed with cancer. No matter life’s challenges, music has always been an outlet for me to cope and heal. It has helped me to persevere and fight through some of life's most difficult moments, ultimately making me a stronger person. The world can be a challenging place, but each of us are warriors—armed with the gift to sing, and filled with the fire, passion, drive, and grit to conquer anything.
