Audio performance by Rosthern Junior College Chorale 2003. Chorale is a 38 voice mixed choir of 15-17 year olds from RJC, a small (circa 100) school in the middle of the Canadian Prairies.

Flos Campi (meaning "flower of the field" in Latin—from the Song of Songs) is an early MUSIC ensemble comprised of students from the University of Southern California. We specialize in repertoire from 1750 and before.

This performance, however was part of the me...  moreI wrote this in 1976 for the six singing students of Pat Scanlon, a colleague of mine at West Heath School, who died from complications of Hodgkins Lymphoma. The first performance was at her memorial service. This performance, however was part of the memorial service in St Martin in the Fields, for Ruth Rudge, who was a very distinguished and lovely lady, and also my first boss. The ladies of the Occasional Choir, whose beginnings were as the Madrigal Choir at West Heath, which I co-founded, all those years ago, are the singers, including one of the six that took part in the very first performance. I am conducting, and Penny Walker, who now directs the choir is accompanying. Unfortunately less than half the singers are visible in the video.  less

VIVA was on a tour in the Republic of South Africa 16 - 29 April 2011. This video was recorded under a concert held by VIVA in the Drakensbergs Boys Choir School's concert hall on the 27.April 2011.

The Chorale is the premier, choral ensemble of the University. The ensemble consists of approximately 24-32 vocalists selected through a voice placement process and performs traditional/advanced choral literature from all periods. Students who have been...  moreThe Chorale is the premier, choral ensemble of the University. The ensemble consists of approximately 24-32 vocalists selected through a voice placement process and performs traditional/advanced choral literature from all periods. Students who have been active in choral ensembles in HIGH school or college are encouraged to audition for this choir. Auditions for Chorale can take place at anytime to fill necessary spots in the group. Once students are selected for Chorale, they are members until they choose to leave, are removed, or when they graduate. In addition to its regular concert schedule, the Chorale tours each spring (Orlando, ’09; NYC, ’10; Atlanta, ’11, Boston, ’12, Orlando, ’13). A yearly scholarship is offered to people who are successfully placed in the group.  less
