We think everyone can sing and complete beginners, shower Singers and pros are all welcome. With no auditions and no requirements to read music it’s all about the enjoyment of singing. We sing for 3 terms a year and each term ends with a fantastic end of term charity gig, it’s great to be able to give back to the local community whilst enjoying ourselves so much! We sing everything from Queen and Aretha Franklin to Hozier and Florence and the Machine, and have members ranging in age from 20-70, there is really something for everyone! This is our choir's 10th year and we're always looking for new members, so if you fancy a sing please get in touch. EnChor began singing together in the fall of 2005. We are an auditioned group of approximately 32 Singers, coming from a broad cross section of the Calgary and area community. EnChor proudly Highlights the work of Canadian artists, and includes Canadian content in every concert. An important part of our directive is to collaborate with fellow Calgary artists. This choir is partnered with a non-profit organization called the New York Community Alliance for Sickle Cell Anemia Inc. We plan to use our concert venues for aiding this organization's cause. Our conductor John Hunter II is a young but competent conductor. He received his Master's in Choral Conducting from Mansfield University.
