Their diverse repertoire ranges from Mozart and Rutter to Take That and Snow Patrol with a good dose of musicals and Disney thrown in for good measure. The seeds of The Choir were first planted back in mid-2012 when Maddy was asked to set up a choir to perform a small concert at her local church near to Stratford Upon Avon. The choir are all good friends and met in a variety of ways from oTher choirs, Bands and performing arts groups. Our purpose is “to sing, in harmony, a variety of music for The enjoyment of The members as well as to give public and private performances for The listening pleasure of oThers”. During our musical season (September – June), The choir practices on Monday evenings from 7 – 9:30 PM at Broadmoor Baptist Church in Richmond. In addition to our weekly practices we usually plan one or two workshops with a choral clinician, as well as evenings with guest directors. We have two major performances per year, a Family Christmas Concert in December and a Spring Concert in May. We are very involved with our community and, by giving benefit concerts, help to raise funds for oTher organizations such as The Richmond Hospice Society, Canadian Cancer Foundation and Tim Horton’s Kids Camps.
