A CD of his choral music, I am the Song, was released in 2016 on Signum Classics. Bernard’s music featured on the Horrible Histories film Bill (2015), and he co-produced the album, Not Now, Bernard & Other Stories, performed Orchestra of the Swan and Alexander Armstrong, released in February 2020. In January 2020 Bernard’s choral music was featured in a portrait concert by the BBC Singers, and in November 2020 one of the pieces from that concert, I Sing of Love, was nominated by the Ivors Academy for an Ivors Composer Award. With Bernard's kind permission I am releasing this video of my multitrack performance of a part of his mass, dating from around 2006.  less

The choir's founder and artistic director is Maestro Zakar Keshishian. The choir’s pianist is Mrs. Kamila Keshishian. The choir has a multilingual playlist which extends from Armenian traditional Folk Songs to modern Armenian or non-Armenian Songs. These Songs are performed in different ways: - A capella - Accompanied by the piano - Accompanied by the Armenian Folk traditional band - Accompanied by a modern contemporary band. Many Armenian musicians from Armenia enrich the choir's repertoire with their unique and creative works. The choir members are composed of university students and secondary classes students in Armenian High Schools, as well as young Armenians in the work force. Members of the Wesleyan Chorale also perform in the Wesleyan Singers, an open-enrollment ensemble that performs a variety of music while developing vocal technique and musicianship skills.

Words & music: Anthony Sylvestre. Performance time: 4’45. The Song can be performed in 2 languages versions: in English/French or in English/English. The main theme is a declaration of love. It can be sung to either a woman or a man. While the qualities of the beloved are listed in contemplative praise, the promise to be there in difficult times is made with tenderness and sincerity. As we are enveloped in this loving tranquility, the voices of the choir intensify until they reach a second theme, one that is more marked and determined. This sequence entitled ”The French Dream’, introduces us to a more mysterious and dreamlike atmosphere, straight out of our childhood fairy tales. Then, as if we had fallen asleep for a moment, the words 'Beautiful! Beautiful' resound once again, bringing us back to a reassuring reality.  less
