Written for the 2011 combined Choir of Festival 500 in Newfoundland, Canada. Recorded live on May 3, 2015, at All Saints Episcopal Church in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Performed by the Concert Choir and Men's Auxiliary ensembles of the Girl Choir of South Florida. Artistic Director: Wallis Peterson, Accompanist: Gayle Giese. Stars that spill on a melting stem of brilliance down to earth, make landfall here like swans who are burnt by flight. We find an orphan of ashes, a child of chilled obsidian: in the middle of winter we nurture the seeds of stars. On days of silver light at the end of summer, they’ll lift away to resume their long migration. You who’ve been told There’s nothing, nothing to be done, you who have come to a place of broken stones, remember us who have sparked a star from dust, and seen its wings ignite the darkling sky.  less

The members live at different places throughout the country. Five times a year they gather in different places in Norway to share music with each other and their audience. The singers have a true passion for singing and performing music, which captures the audience in a way that makes them feel like they take part of a musical journey that Via Vitae guides them through. The Choir shows the way through a wide repertoire of choral music, both secular and Church music, rhythmical and classical music. They present a program that includes music you feel like dancing to as well as music you feel like meditating to. Twitter.com/ViaVitaeChoir Facebook.com/ViaVitaeChoir  less

No coward soul is mine, No trembler in the world's storm-troubled sphere I see Heaven's glories shine and Faith shines equal, arming me from Fear O God within my breast Almighty, ever-present Deity Life that in me has rest As I, Undying Life, have power in Thee With wide-embracing love Thy spirit animates eternal years Pervades and broods above, Changes, sustains, dissolves, creates and rears Though Earth and Man were gone and suns and universes ceased to be and Thou wert left alone, Every existence would exist in thee  less
