This work is suitable for a soloist or unison Choir. The accompaniment is originally scored for piano, but we have rendered it with organ accompaniment. In a liturgical setting, this work is especially suitable for Baptisms and other services that feature the use of sanctified water (healing and commemorative services). Equally, it would make a reflective motet for use during the distribution of Holy Communion. Our Choir Mood Swing (http://www.moodswingChoir.com) recently opened the Institute of Internal Auditors of Australia annual conference, SOPAC. We were among those in the crowd and then came to the front when the "sound wasn't working"

This is arranged by our lovely talented Choir member Margaret Smith. Choirs involved from Hummingsong Community Choirs are Karinya, Maribella & Senisuara based in sydney's Northern Beaches and North Shore. 110 women joined together for an event we will all never forget. Hier ist das rechte Osterlamm (Άρια Β) - σόλο: Ευάγγελος Χατζησταύρου 7. So feiern wir das hohe Fest (χορωδιακό ST) 8. Wir essen und leben wohl (χορικό) Η καντάτα Christ lag in Todesbanden (Ο Χριστός κείται με τα δεσμά του θανάτου) είναι μια από τις πρώτες καντάτες του συνθέτη. Το λιμπρέτο της είναι ένας ύμνος του Λούθηρου. Κάθε ένα από τα επτά μέρη της καντάτας είναι και ένας στίχος του ύμνου, με τη μορφή variation. Ο Bach γράφει συμμετρικά: χορωδιακό – ντουέτο – σόλο – χορωδιακό – σόλο – ντουέτο – χορωδιακό. Στο κέντρο (4ος στίχος) είναι η μάχη ανάμεσα στη ζωή και στον θάνατο. Η πρεμιέρα της έγινε το 1707 στο Arnstadt. Η παρούσα είναι η δεύτερη, μεταγενέστερη μορφή της καντάτας, όπως εκτελέστηκε το 1724 στη Λει...    less
