Founded in 2008 under the direction of Matthew Larkin, the choir is formed of professional choral scholars from the Toronto area. The Larkin Singers has had successful tours to Bristol, UK as resident choir at Bristol Cathedral and to New York City. They have also presented concerts in Ottawa, London and Kingston. In 2008, The Larkin Singers released its first recording, "A New Work is Come on Hand" featuring music of the Christmas season by Bach, R.V. Williams, Howells, Ord and others. Now in its fourth season, The Larkin Singers presents a 3 concert subscription series; outreach and collaborative performances throughout Ontario. We strive to inspire singers, audiences and community through the beauty and power of...  moreThe Edina Chorale, under the direction of Thomas Paulson, is an 85+ voice choir with a commitment to excellence and a varied repertoire. We range in age from 18 to 75. We strive to inspire singers, audiences and community through the beauty and power of diverse chorale music. We perform four major concerts per year, including a holiday program, a classical performance with orchestra, and a spring pops concert.  

We are a mixed voice choir singing a variety of musical styles including classical, pop, musicals, sacred and Scottish songs. Members' ages range from teenagers to octogenarians. To date we have recorded over 30 albums and raised over £1.5 million for charity.

We have a particular affinity for contemporary classical music, having won prizes for interpretation at home and abroad, and regularly present Irish premieres at our Dublin concerts.

Gammal og ny musikk, shanty, jazz - inspirert, negro spirituals og elles dei tradisjonelle mannskorverka. Mange forbinder mannskor med 17. mai og gamle tradisjonelle sanger. Os Mannskor stiller villig opp 17. mai med nasjonale musikkskatter, men det er likevel bare en liten del av et frodig bilde. Vi er ikke opptatt av båser når det gjelder musikk. Many of our singers are school music teachers and voice teachers. We perform a wide variety of music from classical and broadway to pop and vocal jazz. The choir was founded in 2011 by friends who have spent their lives teaching others to perform, but whom rarely get the chance to sing anymore. We are directed by Jason Krigas and accompanied by Kathryn Polyack.

The words are my own and tell of children playing in the dusty streets (ie of Bethlehem) unaware that a miracle has happened and asking them to look up to where the angels are singing.
