But the only association is their liveliness, ease and wittiness. The group was established in the end of 2010. The girls were singing together in several acknowledged Slovene choirs and they all still sing in varied singing groups (RTV Chamber Choir, Opera Choir SNT Opera and Ballet Ljubljana, Vocal Group iZbor …) The leader of the group is a promising young conductor Ana Erčulj, who is regularly attending masterclasses led by Slovene and foreign experts. Besides ordinarily performance they are working on implementation of the program by binding singing with other arts such as dancing and visuality. Their reperoaire consist of slovenian folk music, vocal jazz and pop. Gallina is working with young composers and encourage them to write for female quartet in different styles. "Sancta Maria" is a Latin-language soprano aria based on the Intermezzo from the opera Cavalleria rusticana, composed by Pietro Mascagni. The ensemble currently consists of 40-50 auditioned singers. The University Chorale is the touring ensemble for the choral department. The ensemble performs a wide spectrum of the finest choral literature. The University Chorale is the touring ensemble for the choral department. The ensemble performs a wide spectrum of the finest choral literature. The group performs extensively throughout the Southwest and will be singing at several venues in Washington D.C. during December of 2013. The group primarily consists of vocal music majors, however, there are singers representing several other academic disciplines. The University Chorale has been under the direction of J. Steven Walker since 1984. Dr. Walker is the Director of Choral Activities and a Linscheid Distinguished Teaching Professor at East Central University.
