Being trapped in our homes due to COVID-19 didn’t keep us from singing together – quarantine rather boosted our creativity and turned white walls and bed sheets, smartphones and bookshelves into almost professional home studios.
From rehearsing to audio recording and video production, the physical distance between us couldn’t stop our passion for making music together. In times that make us realize what’s most important to us, we felt closer than ever and really understood that … we don’t need fancy!

Arrangement of a madrigal by Michele Pesenti (also known as Micha Pesentus, Michael Pesentus and other versions of the name).
He was a priest in Italy (possibly Verona or Ferrara) and lived from about 1470 to 1521. This song "Dal lecto me levava" appears to hAve been one of the first of its kind to signal the move from the traditional frottole (which had mainly a homophonic movement, and often had just a single voice with instruments) into the more familiar madrigal style, where all the lines were sung and where the movement was more contrapuntal.
My understanding of the original madrigal is that the priest is considering getting up for another day devoted to the Lord, but the crane, some kind of holy messenger, possibly even St Michael (who is sometimes referred to as the ambassador of the Lord), tells him that it is not yet time to get up . . . less

As a choir, the Consort has a wide repertoire, ranging from Early Church music through to Folksongs and modern works. Each programme is different and reflects the wishes of those for whom we perform.
Since the Consort’s formation it has raised, through its choral concerts, many thousands of pounds for a wide range of charities and churches. It is always glad to consider invitations from such organisations. Its services are given voluntarily, although a contribution towards its music library and other expenses is gratefully received.
We would love to come and sing to you and help you raise much needed funds for your cause.
In addition to singing at Fund Raising events, the choir is available to sing at private functions, weddings, funerals and so on less

Yon Monn Nouvo (A World Anew)
Open your ears and listen,
Hear and listen, my friends.
Open your hearts and hear,
Hear and listen, my brothers:
Both you and I are full of dreams;
You help me and I help you.
That is how we will come to build a world anew.
“With many hands, the load is light."
“One finger alone cannot eat okra.”
Knowledge and wealth are goods of humanity
That we must share in true fellowship.
These are statements that bring happiness;
Words of wisdom that make life harvest.
We are, each one of us, seeds of eternity
That sprout and bloom in our humanity.
Let us all work together for a world anew,
A world more humane, a universe of love.
Open your ears and lis... less

The choir's mission is to nurture Bulgarian talent and instill a love for choral art among young individuals aged 16 to 35. Тhe choir's repertoire encompasses (or includes) works by both Bulgarian and international composers, spanning eras from the Renaissance to modern times.
They've embarked on concert tours across the country and abroad participating in international choral festivals and competitions.
The choir's transformation into a mixed youth ensemble occurred in early 2020. It strives to rekindle Bulgarian choral tradit... less
