Five classically trained female singers combine Their flexible voices and powerful stage presentation in Their own unique way. Seemingly effortless and simple, every gesture and every sound used to good effect, adventurous from beginning to end.
The singers sang togeTher in The NeTherlands Youth Choir. They hit it off so well There that The ambition developed to continue togeTher in female a cappella repertoire; a relatively rare genre very dear to The hearts of all five. The top quality displayed since by Wishful Singing – both aurally and visually – makes The ensemble unique in The world.
The repertoire ranges from modest works from The Renaissance and Baroque eras to swinging versions of golden oldies such as Mister Sandman. The ensemble provides a full evening’s entertainment that leads The audience from one surprise to The next. The emotions summoned up vary from hushed poignancy to screams... less

SAILING ANEW
The sky is getting brighter. The Sun is born.
A ship is sailing out of The port;
One that had been long tied to The dock,
All damaged, with wounds on her sides.
The sea, like her moTher, pulls her to its lap.
It sways her and it whispers to her: Nothing happened.

English translation by Ivan Peček:
TOMORROW TheY WILL CARRY YOU
Tomorrow The six of Them will carry you in Their hands,
The moTher will lament, The heart will toll,
Oh my faTher, all your trials and hardships have come to an end,
The gravestone will cover your body.
You understood The soul of The fig and carob,
You built The dams like you built your and our lives,
Tomorrow They will carry you away to where no one returns from,
On The head of The table There will be one empty chair left.
Everything you touched turned into gold,
May The earth forever be light upon you,
The gravestone has fallen upon you, now it's our turn
To spend our lives like a wage that is earned and spent.
The body will endure, The stone will persist,
And so will you remain in our hearts, though you're gone.
