Kitka learned this New Year's song in Tbilisi from Tutarchela women's Choir, directed by Tamar Buadze. It is sung in Megrelian , a language related to Georgian.
"We wish you a Happy New Year. God bless the past year and the new one. Prosperity to you and yours. May your storehouses be filled with corn. May the bird of your dreams flap its wings. May you soon see your loved ones who are far away. Now, I am going to the mountains, and will not see you for five years." less

It is appropriate for ensembles at the community, collegiate, and advanced high school levels. “timely… It is a call for humanity.” - Susan Glass, Glass Menagerie Chorus, NY a “powerful statement” - Dr. Heather Mitchell less

This work won the first prize in the 2013 Composition Competition of the European Choral Association in the frame of the festival Youth Choirs in Movement.
