We are an auditioning, non-professional chamber choir, performing a diverse programme of repertoire at regular intervals throughout The year. We draw our membership from The hugely successful EC4 Music, a choir and orchestra that is widely regarded as one of The leading large amateur groups in London, and it is from this platform of success that CCoV takes its lead. EC4 Music recently performed at The Barbican for The fifth time, raising money for The Prince’s Trust and is also very excited to be making its Royal Festival Hall debut in October this year to mark The grand finale of The Lord Mayor's Appeal 2011. Lord Mayor, Michael Bear's appeal supports children’s charity Coram and RedR, a charity that trains and provides engineers and oTher relief workers to respond to worldwide emergencies. It is well known a...  moreGOSPEL SINGERS WANTED, Audition 5th & 6th July 2021 – Black History Month Background Union Chapel is a historic church based in Islington with a small but enthusiastic congregation looking to expand our horizons. It is well known as an iconic music venue attracting major artists. It is also a centre for social justice and community activities. In recent years, The church has been developing music in our Sunday services with a range of genres, classical, jazz, gospel, and world music. The church has also created several unique events led by our musicians. These have included our annual Christmas Candlelight service, Good Friday evening performances and smaller events to commemorate such occasions as Black History Month, a remembrance event in The Covid pandemic. Besides The usual church festivals, we also have special services for Refugee Week, Gay Pride, Holocaust Memorial, and oTher special commemorations.
