Leach, perform sacred and secular Music from the African and African-American choral traditions. The Choir, founded in 2005, is composed of alumni of the Essence of Joy Choir of The Pennsylvania State University. EOJAS has performed extensively in locations such as Pennsylvania, Alabama, Maryland, Virginia, Florida, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Washington D.C., Belgium, Luxembourg, and France. EOJAS is an official Alumni Interest Group (AIG) of the Penn State Alumni Association. EOJAS' mission is to learn, present, and promote African and African-American sacred and secular Music in an effort to entertain, inspire, affirm and unify the worldwide community. The Choir is a non-profit corporation registered in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and a tax exempt organization as defined in section 501(c)(3) of the IRS Tax Code. Join our singing family of 30+ members Develop your Music and performance skills, and share your voice in an amazing way. We’ve raised thousands for various charities through our concerts and perform regularly in events such as Festivals, open days, fairs and more. We enjoy ‘giving back’ to our community so if you do too, we’ll make a great fit! No auditions - Everyone is welcome – teenagers and adults. It has since grown from a small choral group to a self-run community Choir with a wide ranging repertoire, performing Music that bridges cultures and unites faith traditions. The project won an ABC award in December 2009 at the Royal Society for the Arts and was cited by the judging panel as ”an excellent, innovative way of bringing people together through a shared passion for Music”. Koruso! host performances at least twice a year and to date has performed at a variety of venues across its home borough and beyond. Members come from all walks of life and all across Southwark. We enjoy singing together every Thursday from 6:30pm at Oliver Goldsmiths Primary School, Peckham Road. New members are always welcome - particularly tenors and basses.  less

In the beginning, Greenwood Singers specialized in the performance of a cappella Music from different stylistic periods. Its programming has now expanded to include works with soloists, instrumental ensembles and chamber orchestra. A versatile ensemble, the Choir has performed frequently with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra in a wide variety of programs which have included Mahler’s Symphony No. 8, Holst’s The Planets, family Christmas concerts, the concert version of Jerome Kern’s Showboat, Orff’s Carmina Burana (with the Alberta Ballet) and the ESO’s 1992 reunion with the British rock group, Procol Harum. Full Circle sing songs of all styles in three or four part harmony. You do not need to read Music and there are no auditions. We sing for fun and socialise outside of Choir. We love to perform, especially for charity.
