Egal von welcher Universität, der LMU, TUM oder Fachhochschule der Junge Chor sucht zum Jahresbeginn wieder junge Leute, erfahrene Sängerinnen und Sänger aller Stimmlagen. Alumni are always invited to come up and sing along. One of the best parts of holiday concerts is seeing the familiar faces of past choristers. The group is formerly known as Chorus Leviticus, from the word "Frisco" it means San Francisco Del Monte, it is a small town founded by our patron San Pedro Bautista during 1590, the group is comprised of mostly students, out of school Youth, young professionals and music enthusiast from the Parish Youth and Music Ministry of Archdiocesan Shrine of Santuario De San Pedro Bautista in Quezon City,which is also known as one of the oldest church in the Philippines and the provincial house of the Franciscans. As our patron saint San Pedro Bautista, a Franciscan missionary, a saint who lived in our community, and who was the first missionary to teach liturgical music to local children and organized church Choirs in the Philippines. We are living with his mission and envision ourselves with his aspiration, by offering our God given talents, and exploring our talents in different genres of music. As the introduction states, Eric Whitacre's famous "Sleep" was originally composed to Rober...  moreAs part of The Vocal Art Ensemble's "INKSPELL--Choral Music Inspired by Masters of Poetry" concerts, this piece started the 'modern poetry' section of the concert. As the introduction states, Eric Whitacre's famous "Sleep" was originally composed to Robert Frost's "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening", but when Whitacre realized the Frost estate was not releasing permission for musical settings of the poem, Charles Silvestri wrote the poem "Sleep" around the music Whitacre had written. To honor the inspiration the poem gave Mr. Whitacre, and to further honor all poets who inspire choral composers, we presented this beloved piece with the original Frost lyrics.  less

A higher (SATB) version of the whole mass is also available (sung by Matthew Curtis)

Wir kommen aus Duisburg und proben jeden Donnerstag im Gemeindehaus Beim Knevelshof in ...  moreWir sind ein Chor für Kinder (4-8 Jahre), Jugendliche (9-14) und Erwachsene (ab 15), die in 3 Gruppen unterteilt sind. Die Mini-Voices, die Maxi-Voices und The Voices. Wir kommen aus Duisburg und proben jeden Donnerstag im Gemeindehaus Beim Knevelshof in DU-Wanheimerort (Minis 17:15, Maxis 18:15, Voices 19:15). Da wir immer neue Mitglieder suchen, seid ihr herzlich willkommen, bei einer Probe dabei zu sein und kräftig mitzusingen. :-) The Voices is a Choir for children (from 4-8), teenagers (from 9-14) and adults, separated in 3 different groups, called Mini-Voices, Maxi-Voices and The Voices. We are from Duisburg in the west of Germany and practice every thursday. We are always looking for new members, so feel free to contact us. :-)  less
