Led by Mrs. Joy Clayton, the Athens Drive High School Choirs perform a range of musical pieces varying from classical to folk to pop. Our favorite composer, and the one whose pieces we most love to perform, is Eric Whitacre.

The Ensemble performs in some of the most important music festivals in Israel, and has won first prize and a gold medal in the International Liturgic Music Competition for choirs 1996, sponsored by the Vatican. On 2001 Jerusalem A-Cappella Singers performed a world premier in Jerusalem and Italy of a Mass in Arabic by father Armando Pieruchi and in 2009 they were invited to take part in a special project for Christmas which was produced and filmed in Jerusalem by the BBC and forecasted later in England. Orfej...  moreKomorni zbor Orfej / Chamber choir Orfej was formed in 1989. The choir's permanent artistic director is Romana Rek. In the past years, Chamber choir Orfej has received a number of awards, which places them among the more prominent Slovenian choirs. Orfej has proven its high level of vocal performance in April 2010 at the prestigious Slovene national choir competition ‘Naša Pesem’ (i. e. ‘Our Song’). The choir scored 93 points, received the gold award, and the second prize in the category ‘mixed choirs’.  

The Greenwood Chorale is made up of Singers from the greater Greenwood region who enjoy singing choral music together. We sing both sacred and non-sacred music covering a broad spectrum of music periods.

Goal of ...  moreThe Youth Choir Melissanthi was founded as the Children’s Choir of Alexandria Municipality in 1987 aiming to the creation of a youth musical cradle in the town and so far has become a major attraction for children and young people of the city. Goal of the choir is equally the choral and music development of its members and the contribution to the cultural development of Alexandria and the surrounding area. Although it started as a small ensemble singing monophonic or at best diphone melodies without instrumental accompaniment, today has more than 80 choristers, mostly Girls, 10-25 years old, and interprets as a triphonic choir almost all kinds of music, with an emphasis on the music of the nations and Greek composers.
