One of the things we find with our Choir is  that during the middle or the year (our New Zealand winter) , we're often plagued with Choir Members getting sick, wintery bitter weather (so nobody wants to leave their warm homes), or Members taking trip...

Our performance season consists of three annual concerts in Kitchener-Waterloo: once in the fall around Remembrance Day, a mid-winter, and a spring concert. In addition, the Choir performs on an ad hoc basis at other events. We have worked with numerous choral groups, musicians, and composers since our inaugural season, including the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony, Elora Festival Singers, Kingston Cantabile Choirs, Guelph Chamber Choir, Penderecki Quartet, Lachan Chamber Choir, Willem Moolenbeek, Eric Friesen, Bruce Dow, and Eric Whitacre, to name just a few. This group is made up of 10 singers and performers all under the age of 25, giving VanDeca a youthful and fresh take on every genre, from classical to pop, musical theatre to jazz, and everything in between! Each singer in VanDeca comes from a different musical background, shaping who we are as a group. Having only been in existence since November of 2011, this group has big plans to shape the face of choral music in Vancouver, encouraging our audience to feel connected with our performances through multi-genre pieces, and using movement and amazing sound to inspire others to become involved with their local choral groups.  less

We are a medium size Choir of about 50 Members who perform classical music, mainly baroque, classical and 20th century periods. We give several major concerts each year, mostly in Wellington.

We were originally founded as a workplace Choir for K Shoes (taken over by Clarks) of Kendal, Cumbria in 1969. We have around fifty Members and support local and national charities. We are a very friendly Choir and welcome new Members.

Starting in the children's Choir with voice training and also personal formation, ex-semble works mainly with a-cappella literature of all epoches.
