New members are always welcome. No auditions required though our director may ask you to sing to verify your placement in the correct voice range. See the Bulletin Board for details. GGCC generally performs at least two concerts per year, a Winter/Christmas Concert in December and a Spring Concert.

We acknowledge the love of God, by singing soul inspiring songs and to proclaim the word of God through Music. Mission We pursue to sing soul inspiring music with religious and patriotic songs as a way of sensitizing the power of Gospel music on nature to our various friends and love ones. Biography The Celestial City Choir was initiated by two music students at University of Education, Winneba in 2010. It's formation or foundation began in early January 2011. The members who contributed to the founding were all members from Bantama Seventh-Day Adventist Church about 8 members. Later more hands were called in and official inauguration was done on June 4th 2011.  less

The Richmond Singers is a 55 voice women’s Choir which began performing in 1971. Our purpose is “to sing, in harmony, a variety of music for the enjoyment of the members as well as to give public and private performances for the listening pleasure of othe...  moreThe Richmond Singers is a 55 voice women’s Choir which began performing in 1971. Our purpose is “to sing, in harmony, a variety of music for the enjoyment of the members as well as to give public and private performances for the listening pleasure of others”. During our musical season (September – June), the Choir practices on Monday evenings from 7 – 9:30 PM at Broadmoor Baptist Church in Richmond. In addition to our weekly practices we usually plan one or two workshops with a choral clinician, as well as evenings with guest directors. We have two major performances per year, a Family Christmas Concert in December and a Spring Concert in May. We are very involved with our community and, by giving benefit concerts, help to raise funds for other organizations such as the Richmond Hospice Society, Canadian Cancer Foundation and Tim Horton’s Kids Camps. Moses Hogan (1957-2003) Spiritual Moses Hogan was an internationally renowned pianist, composer and arranger of choral music best known for his arrangements of spirituals. He studied with a full scholarship at Oberlin Conservatory of Music before continuing with his graduate studies at Julliard School of Music. He won several piano competitions during his performance years and published many CD's as well as songbooks. 'Hold On!' is an example of his 'soloist vs Choir' style of spiritual arrangements. There is a solo throughout that sings the primary lyrics and message of the song while the rest of the Choir provides a lively and energetic - often rhythmic - accompaniment. The choristers looked at the formation of the Choir as further development to their shared roots from singing with the Limburg Cathedral Boys Choir. They also looked to continue the tradition of successful male chamber Choirs founded by former members of Limburg Cathedral Boys Choir, which is unique in Germany. The ensemble has committed itself to presenting the audience with unfamiliar male Choir works of the highest level, but without neglecting the traditional canon of compositions, which makes for a exceptional combination. The repertoire includes a range of the following: Gregorian chants, works of old masters, romantic motets, contemporary compositions, arrangements of jazz and pop songs.
