Executing this music with "sensitivity and style" (Early Music America), Schola Antiqua takes pride in providing the highest standards of research, performance, and education involving many under-served repertories in the western musical canon. Founded in 2000, the organization has received invitations to perform from the Indianapolis Early Music Festival, Chicago’s Newberry Library, the Chicago Cultural Center, the University of Chicago, the University of Notre Dame, the American Guild of Organists, and numerous locations across the Midwest. In 2006-2007, Schola Antiqua was Ensemble-in-Residence at the University of Chicago and currents holds an artistic residency at the Lumen Christi Institute. In the spring we sleep ignorant dawn
Everywhere we hear the birds singing
During the night comes
the sound of wind and rain
The flowers fall, who knows the number?
Au printemps on dort ignorant l’aube
Partout on entend les oiseaux chanter
Durant la nuit vient
Le bruit du vent et de la pluie
Les fleurs tombent, qui en connait le nombre? less
