Comprising forty highly skilled and experienced choristers, the Choir is dedicated to recording and performing the compositions of their conductor, Franco Prinsloo. Born in 1987, Prinsloo is a world-renowned composer whose innovative works have significantly enriched the cultural landscape of South Africa. The Choir’s mission is to serve as the instrument through which Prinsloo’s music comes to life, maintaining a highly professional standard in all their endeavors. Under Prinsloo’s visionary leadership, the Vox Chamber Choir has achieved remarkable success. The rehearsals include popular songs, music from the shows, and many more styles, and will help with learning to read music as well as learning to sing in new and different languages. We gather members from all areas of Hertfordshire so whether you are in Hitchin, Stevenage, Letchworth, Welwyn, Ware etc you are welcome to come along. Subscription costs are set low at £2 per week which covers heating, rehearsal space and other fees. Through dedication and hard-work, The Harmonious Chorale has carved for itself a niche and an identity which has provided mentoring opportunity for many choral groups in and outside Ghana, staging over thirty five (35) well executed and attended concerts in Ghana alone. In 2018, Harmonious Chorale became Champions of the World Choir Games (Category C28) during its maiden participation in Tshwane, South Africa. We sing challenging and rewarding music in a friendly committed environment with a wide range of ages and nationalities. We have a particular affinity for contemporary classical music, having won prizes for interpretation at home and abroad, and regularly present Irish premieres at our Dublin concerts.
